I mention these two side by side because FluxBB was a modified version of PunBB. Both of these software were lightweight forum software, PunBB is still around however I believe FluxBB is no longer around. I remember they mentioned it was eventually going to merge with Flarum, and I guess it finally did. Anyways have you ever used either one of these forum software before? I've used both, I prefer PunBB to FluxBB. One thing you'll need to keep in mind when using both, you'll need to add plugins for the more common things you'll see on other platforms such as a private message system or color usernames. These do not come with the software.

You know it makes me wonder just how popular PunBB used to be. Back in the day it was better since it's a lightweight forum software so it takes up less space on a server. I bet lots of people were using it. I know there's one semi active forum that Jason shared on Hosting Chatter, it's a guitar chord forum.

I think I have heard of PunBB but I am not sure if I have heard of FluxBB. I just checked the PunBB forum and I think it is clean.
