Well, it is certainly a debated topic in US politics, I have no idea how important the actual environment is to any of them, but it really feels like most of their opinions have little to do with protecting or not protecting the environment.

There was once a political party named Green party in our country. It vouched for environmentalism. For many years, it failed even to win one seat, and finally it died.
