This software used to be quite popular back in the early days of internet forums. In fact, many gaming forums used vBulletin as their software of choice. I feel it went a bit downhill after 5.0 came out and not too many people tend to use it for new projects. In fact lots of devs who worked on this software went on to work on Xenforo.
