Zippy Promotion Forums The Service Area The Critique Zone Zippy Promotion Critiques?

I'm curious to hear some feedback about the forum in this thread! Yeah I know I could possibly make this thread in our "Suggestions and Bug Reports" area but I think this one is better fitted here. I'd love to hear everyone's feedback! Do we need more themes? A different layout? What do you think about our blue theme?

I love the retro forum age feel the site has.

The one thing I wonder, is whether the archived directory forum needs to be publicly visible or out in the main forum index?

Do you think I should go ahead and hide this from members? I suppose it probably doesn't need to be public. I'll change that real quickly.

I think it'd be different if it was nested under as a sub forum but the index feels cluttery to me 🤷

Since there's no directory plugin for UBB Threads, I added a subsection for different forums. Perhaps they could be moved to subforums, but hmm... Maybe we could group promotional forums together, tech/gaming forums, etc.? Then each can have a subforum. I do agree I have too many subforums on the index, most being promotional sections.

Alright I've condensed the index a bit, I went ahead and grouped General Discussion and Gaming/Tech together, and I grouped webmaster/promotional with other. Hopefully this looks less cluttered now!

I suggest a new theme. The current theme reminds me of the 90s. I do like the categories/sections in the forum though, it's a good start to the community.

An additional theme that provides a more modern look could be nice, I personally like the look of simplicity that the old days brought with forums not everyone's cup of tea though.
