Zippy Promotion Forums Webmaster Chat Hosting and Software Chat Do you prefer to use lesser used software?

For example we use UBB Threads here which is an old forum script that many forums no longer use, or the forums that used to use this software has since shut down. Do you prefer to use well known software or lesser used software?

I've always used software that people are familiar with. I'm not sure I've used software that nobody has heard of.....
