Which one is your favourite? I prefer a VPS because a dedicated one will be an overkill most of the time. 

The price factor is also there.

Right now VPS suits me just fine, and I could even upgrade to better VPS packages as needed long before I would need a dedicated server.

For my own personal sites? Usually just a VPS, as like you said, a dedicated is overkill.

I do own several dedicated servers those for other ventures, but most of my personal sites and hobbies are on VPS smile

Are VPS hard to manage...? We just on shared hosting now and that's only costing few bucks a month...

I had a person recommend that if I wanted to ever go down the route of using a VPS for my sites, it's best to install Linux on a virtual machine to get used to using it. I think there's managed VPS you can get from certain hosts, but it'll probably cost more money than managing it yourself. I use shared hosting myself currently, I don't have the knowledge to manage the hosting side of things.
