Has anyone here used Hostgator before? Back when I had a forum for the game Mighty No 9, I originally picked a free forum host but my co-admin couldn't edit the templates since the host didn't allow it. So I decided to go with self hosting and picked Hostgator. I went with their hatchling shared hosting package, since I wasn't making a lot of money back then. I know I've heard people who had a bad experience with them, but I never did.

One of my communities started on HostGator. After some time, as we grew in popularity, I learned that "unlimited" on HostGator came with limitations. They would keep shutting down my forum for using too many resources. It was at that time that I moved onto a VPS, but with another company because they had done ticked me off, lol.

I have never used Hostgator but I once tried using it. However, I couldn't use it because they asked for a verified paypal, which I didn't have.

I have used Hostgator in the past, and honestly, I wasn't pleased with their services.
