If you have ran both, a blog and a forum, what do you like more? Well, I have been a blogger for many years, I still maintain a couple of active blogs but these days I like to run forums. That's because forums are communities where you can directly engage.

I personally prefer forums to blogs myself. I'm better at keeping up with conversations on a forum than writing articles for a blog. I do own a blog that's a portfolio blog and I had a Sonic one but I haven't kept up with it and will probably archive it.

I run both.

I love forums, I do.

But I love a blog better. I can control it more and be the main source of information.

That's the beauty of running a blog, everything is under your control. With forums, you depend on your users yo create content, your forum will thrive only when your users create content.

That's totally the truth.

Blogging is way easier but lonelier all at the same time!

When you run a forum, you work with people, there are real people coming to post on your forum, you build a community. However, this is generally missing on blogs. That's why forums seem more lively.
